As a professional working in a private practice, what costs do I need to consider to adopt Virtual Reality in my practice?

The amount of the initial economic investment is accessible to all professionals working in a private practice and pertains to the following purchases:

• a Meta Quest 2, 3, or 3s Virtual Reality headset (available for purchase directly on the websites of Meta, Amazon, or Mediaworld);

• a strap suitable for the Virtual Reality headset (e.g. Kiwi Design, available on Amazon);

• an acoustic headset;

• an asynchronous online course with one or more sessions that teach the protocols for using one or more types of Virtual Reality experiences (e.g.: Enhanced Relaxation Techniques for Augmented Wellbeing, Enhanced Clinical Practice for Augmented Psychology, Enhanced Food Exposure for Augmented Exposure, Enhanced Biofeedback for Augmented Performance, Enhanced Stress & Change Management for Augmented Corporate, etc.);

• an annual subscription to one or more types of Virtual Reality experiences (e.g.: Augmented Wellbeing, Augmented Psychology, Augmented Exposure, Augmented Performance, Augmented Corporate, etc.).

Are computer skills necessary to set up and use a Virtual Reality headset?

No, the use of the Virtual Reality headset and the app is very intuitive and does not require any specific computer knowledge. Additionally, the training course includes practical exercises to become familiar with the tool and the technique.

I am a psychotherapist: is there a particular approach that is more suitable for your Virtual Reality experiences?

Our Virtual Reality experiences are trans-epistemological and can be used by any psychotherapeutic approach (psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, systemic, transpersonal, integrated, etc.).

Do the asynchronous distance learning courses I purchased have an expiration date?

The asynchronous distance learning courses that provide for the recognition of ECM credits have a duration of 12 months, typically from November of each year to November of the following year. Courses that do not provide for the recognition of ECM do not have an expiration date.

When are the ECMs assigned for the asynchronous distance learning courses I have purchased?

The timing of the formal recognition of ECMs depends on the obligations of the accredited Provider and the management of the practice by AGENAS, through the portal. Co.Ge.APS. Overall, they are typically quantifiable within a maximum of 180 days from the conclusion of the ECM event (distance learning course). ECM events, lasting a total of 12 months, are closed by the end of November each year.
