Virtual Realities for Biofeedback

These virtual reality experiences represent a new type of immersive and engaging mental training, designed to enable users to enhance their emotional management through biofeedback exercises. Interaction with biosensors triggers active learning aimed at greater focus of attention and better bodily mastery of the heart rate parameter – a fundamental component of emotional regulation. These tools, which can be integrated into professional practice in clinical, educational, and sports settings, allow for the structuring of biofeedback exercises on heart rate, increasing body awareness and helping individuals learn to regulate their heart response in stressful or tense situations.

Usage protocols


The Virtual Reality Augmented Biofeedback protocol allows a trained healthcare professional to administer Augmented Performance experiences to patients/users. This tool extends biofeedback interventions through Virtual Reality scenarios that change based on the heart rate detected in real-time by one of the supported biosensors and transmitted to the digital natural environments that evolve through a series of predefined levels.

The Augmented Performance experiences are currently available in the following formats:

• Immersive Virtual Reality for Meta Quest Virtual Reality headsets with one of the supported smartwatches featuring a biosensor for heart rate.


These experiences are interactive and currently available in Italian, English, Brazilian Portuguese, and Spanish (any additional language can be arranged by requesting a specific quote).
